Sustainability and supply chain
This garment was made from ECOVERO™ viscose, a 100% biodegradable and recyclable material.
THE RAW MATERIAL, WOOD
The ECOVERO™ fibers used in this garment come from wood pulp sourced from PEFC and FSC® (sustainably managed forests) certified forests. The supply chain comes from plantations of several tree species in the European Union. The raw material is then supplied to Lenzing – the manufacturer of ECOVERO™ – in compliance with strict standards. ECOVERO™ is a registered trademark of Lenzing, which launched this material on the market in accordance with their own social and environmental standards.

THE SUPPLIER OF ECOVERO™ viscose
Avani uses only top-quality ECOVERO™ fibers manufactured by Lenzing AG. The Lenzing Group is a specialist of materials derived from sustainable wood fibers. For over 80 years, Lenzing solutions have been helping to protect the planet.
Lenzing’s ECOVERO™ fibers are very similar to Tencel™, as the closed-loop production process uses a non-organic but non-toxic solvent and water. Its transformation process complies with the strict standards imposed by the EU Eco Label, guaranteeing low environmental impact at every stage, from raw material to product end-of-life. What's more, Ecovero™ water consumption is reduced by 50% compared with traditional viscose, and CO2 emissions are cut by 50% throughout the manufacturing process.

Thanks to its partnership with the Lenzing Group, Meet Milk provides Avani with top-quality ECOVERO™ fabrics.
The fabric used for this garment is certified OEKO-TEX® 100, a label that guarantees that at every stage of the process, it is free from nickel and other products that are toxic to humans and the environment.
